This labor-intensive position is responsible for hand-building pallets of product for bulk and route trucks. Each loading requires strict attention to order accuracy, whether loading outgoing trucks or unloading incoming trucks. Employees work from electronic order systems or sheets to build loads using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. The position ensures accuracy in loading and compliance with shipper/receiver documentation, maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The role may involve working in various weather conditions, with shift hours varying based on workload.

Transport truck loading involves moving full pallets onto trailers and removing returned pallets or flats. Unloading raw materials and placing them in designated warehouse spaces is also required. Bulk truck loading involves selecting specific packages and flavors, stacking, and shrink-wrapping pallets for local delivery. The role includes unloading returned products and pallets.

Route truck loading entails selecting designated packages or pallets based on sales orders. The position involves lifting 20-45 pounds repeatedly, standing, walking, bending, twisting, and reaching throughout long shifts.

PRIMARY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Drive power pallet jack or forklift to pick areas and build pallets/load according to load sheets or voice pick systems.
2. Mark load tickets for out-of-stock items.
3. Wrap pallets upon completion.
4. Complete paperwork and verify loads before dispatching trucks.
5. Stage pallets and load them into trucks.
6. Complete partial and mixed pallets.
7. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the work area.
8. Ensure regular and reliable attendance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 18 years or older.

HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:

• Warehouse experience (order picking, product staging, operating powered pallet jacks or forklifts).
• Forklift operation skills (driving, lifting, maneuvering).
• Experience with racking systems and pallet loading/unloading.
• Teamwork experience (cooperation, problem-solving).
