This labor-intensive position is responsible for hand-building pallets of product for bulk and route trucks. Each type of loading requires strict attention to order accuracy with respect to loading outgoing and unloading incoming trucks. Employees work from electronic order systems or order sheets to build loads using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. The position is responsible for accuracy in loading and complying with shipper/receiver documentation. Employees must maintain a clean and safe work environment. The role may require working in various weather conditions, with shift hours varying based on workload.
Transport truck loading involves moving full pallets onto trailers and removing returned pallets or flats. Unloading raw materials and storing them properly is also part of the role. Bulk truck loading includes selecting specific packages and flavors, stacking, and shrink-wrapping pallets for local delivery. The employee is responsible for unloading returned products and pallets.
Route truck loading involves selecting and loading products based on sales orders, with responsibilities including unloading returned items and ensuring proper stacking for stability.
This role requires lifting cases weighing 20-45 pounds repeatedly, along with standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping during long shifts.
