This labor-intensive position is responsible for hand building pallets of product for bulk and route trucks. Each loading task requires strict attention to order accuracy for outgoing and incoming trucks. Employees work from electronic order systems or sheets to build loads using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. The role involves ensuring accuracy in loading and compliance with documentation, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and working in various weather conditions. Work hours may vary based on workload.

Transport truck loading includes moving full pallets onto trailers and removing returned pallets or flats. Unloading raw materials and storing them properly is also required. Bulk truck loading involves selecting and stacking product packages onto pallets, ensuring stability through proper stacking and shrink-wrapping, and loading trailers for local delivery. The role also involves unloading returned products and handling pallets and flats.

Route truck loading entails selecting specific packages or pallets based on sales orders, loading them into trucks, and managing returns of products and pallets.

This position requires lifting 20-45 pounds repeatedly, standing, walking, bending, twisting, and reaching throughout long shifts.

PRIMARY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Drive power pallet jack or forklift to pick and build pallets according to load sheets or voice pick systems.
2. Mark load tickets for out-of-stock items.
3. Wrap completed pallets.
4. Complete paperwork and verify orders before loading.
5. Stage pallets and load into trucks when ready.
6. Complete partial pallets and organize mixed pallets.
7. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the workspace.
8. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 18 years or older.

HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:

• Warehouse experience including order picking, pallet stacking, and operating powered pallet jacks or forklifts.
• Experience with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets.
• Teamwork experience, including cooperation and problem-solving.
