Performance Foodservice is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Batesville, MS. The role involves preparing pallets for shipping, operating a pallet jack and forklift, and supporting the warehouse team to maintain efficient flow and quality standards.

The position requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 90 pounds, with training on safety procedures and equipment operation. Day 1 benefits are included as part of a comprehensive compensation package.

Responsabilidades

• Review work schedule and prepare supplies for operations.

• Move outgoing products from staging to loading dock using forklift.

Position Summary

Warehouse associates are the foundation to our company's success. They work actively, safely, and independently to maintain the efficient flow of products through our distribution process, while ensuring quality standards. The Pallet Wrapper prepares pallets of out-going freight for shipping by maneuvering and utilizing the robotic wrapping machine and transports pallets with an electric pallet jack. The position functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities

• Reviews work schedule, obtains supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations.
• Performs safety check on pallet jack / forklift to be used and ensure that all other safety devices are functioning properly.
• Ensures work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
• Wraps pallets with cellophane, secure load/pallets and make sure shipping labels are in place as needed.
• Moves out going products from staging area to the loading dock with forklift.
• Operates and maintains production equipment.
• Performs general housekeeping duties and keeps warehouse area/loading dock clear and clean as required.
• Puts on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
• At the end of the shift, secures all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Meets required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
• Follows all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Required Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

Required Experience: 0 - 6 Months

Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position

Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift. Able to occasionally lift, stack, and/or pull products from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift
