Job summary

Itape is seeking a Packer to join our Operations team. The role involves packing boxes, labeling products, and preparing items for shipment in a lean manufacturing environment.

We value meticulous attention to quality, the ability to work for extended periods, and willingness to assist across plant areas as needed. This is an hourly position with a strong safety focus and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Intermediate math and English written communication are required.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Removes finished products from the machine, labels, packs, and places in cartons as per specifications.
• Performs advanced quality checks and communicates with operator and supervisor.
• Aids in the operation of machinery and supports plant coverage as needed.
• Willing to assist in other areas of the plant, including covering lunches and breaks.
• Performs all work with safety first mindset and IPS lean manufacturing skills.
• Performs related tasks as requested by supervisor.

Position Purpose: Packs boxes and prepares product for shipment

Principle Accountabilities

• Removes finished products from the machine, places product labels, packs item in bags and cartons, and places finished product in proper location as per specifications.
• Performs advanced quality checks, and effectively communicates with operator and supervisor to ensure that finished products are made to required quality specifications.
• Aids in the proper and effective operation of the machinery.
• Willing to assist in other areas of the plant, including to cover lunches and breaks as required.
• Performs all work in a safety first mentality and with utilization of IPS lean manufacturing skills.
• Related tasks as requested by supervisor

Essential Skills and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Intermediate math skills and English written communication skills necessary.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required
• Ability to work in space limited work area on continuous basis.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis
