Job summary

FedEx is seeking a non-driving package handler in Chicago, IL to move packages, documents, dangerous goods and supply items safely and efficiently using scan/load methods. This role does not involve driving and supports timely operations.

Qualified applicants will be able to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to chest level, walk and stand for long periods, bend, squat, climb stairs and ladders, and communicate effectively in a noisy environment. Shift options and pay reflect FedEx standards.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 50 lbs from the ground to chest level.
• Able to walk and stand for designated work hours.
• Able to bend and squat for designated work hours.
• Able to maneuver/packages in enclosed spaces and stack overhead.
• Able to climb stairs and ladders if required.
• Able to communicate effectively in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides movement of packages, documents, dangerous goods and supply support in a timely, safe, and efficient manner through scan/load methods.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
