MSI is seeking an entry-level Overhead Crane Operator in Houston to accurately pull slab orders using overhead cranes while following safety procedures. You will also load slabs onto customer vehicles and organize the warehouse with forklifts.

The role requires a HS diploma and 2+ years in a warehouse setting; forklift/crane experience is preferred, along with strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Summary

The Overhead Crane Operator accurately pulls slab orders using overhead cranes, adhering to all safety procedures and operational guidelines. This role is vital to ensuring timely and precise material handling within the facility.

Work Hours

Monday to Friday from 07:00 AM to 05:00 PM, 2 Saturday(s) a month from 07:00 AM to 01:00 PM

Compensation

This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $19.75 to $22.75 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $56,900 and $73,900 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities:

• Accurately pull slab orders from warehouse inventory
• Operate overhead cranes to move slabs to designated loading areas
• Load slabs onto customer vehicles or trucks, ensuring proper placement and securement
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure secure material transport
• Use forklifts to unload slabs from incoming containers
• Organize and arrange slabs in the warehouse using forklifts and cranes
• Maintain a clean and safe slab warehouse environment for staff and visitors
• Perform additional duties as required or requested.

Additionally the candidate must meet the following Education and/or Experience requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Two (2) plus years of experience in a warehouse environment
• Forklift, crane, and warehouse experience preferred
• Proficient with tablets or iPads
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
