Job summary

Civil Recruit is seeking experienced Order Selectors to support the Bellevue Milk Plant distribution center. You will use voice-directed technology to select full-case dairy and perishable products, and you will operate a ride-on electric pallet jack to move stock in a refrigerated warehouse.

The 60-day assignment may convert to full-time based on attendance, safety, and business needs. Shifts are first- or second- shift with overtime possible; union requirements apply for conversion.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States for an indefinite duration.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent order selecting experience.
• Previous experience operating an electric pallet jack.
• Must be able to obtain Albertsons/Safeway certification to operate electric pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English to perform the essential functions.

Summary

Client is seeking experienced Order Selectors to support distribution center operations at the Bellevue Milk Plant. This role requires selecting and palletizing dairy and refrigerated products using voice-directed technology and a ride-on electric pallet jack in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Schedule 1: Monday - Friday (1 opening)

Schedule 2: Tuesday - Saturday (3 openings)

Shift: 1st Shift, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)

Candidates should be comfortable performing physical work throughout the shift while working in refrigerated conditions.

Assignment Duration: Initial 60-day assignment with the potential for conversion to a full-time position based on attendance, performance, adherence to safety standards, and business needs.

Union Requirement: Employees who convert to full-time status will be required to join the onsite union.

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be fully capable of performing the physical demands of this position.

Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, stack, and move products weighing up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.

Ability to frequently lift products to shoulder height and overhead.

Ability to stand and walk continuously for extended periods.

Ability to bend, stoop, squat, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.

Ability to safely mount, dismount, and operate material-handling equipment.

Ability to perform physical labor in a refrigerated environment for the entire shift.

Important: Workers will be responsible for individually lifting and moving products as part of their daily job duties. Please ensure candidates fully understand these physical requirements prior to submission.

Equipment & Technology

Ability to wear a voice-picking headset throughout the entire shift.

Ability to learn and use voice-directed warehouse technology.

Ability to safely operate electric pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment after training and certification.

Work Environment

Must be comfortable working in a refrigerated environment maintained at approximately 34°F - 37°F for the duration of the shift.

Comfortable working around moving warehouse equipment and machinery.

Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Must comply with all safety requirements and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Ability to demonstrate teamwork and professionalism in a unionized work environment.

Hiring Process

Qualified candidates will be invited to attend a 30-minute onsite interview.

Candidates may be required to demonstrate relevant warehouse experience and discuss prior order selecting and pallet jack operation experience.

Dress Code & Required Equipment

Safety shoes are required on Day 1.

Close-toed, slip-resistant shoes are not considered safety shoes.

Must dress appropriately for a refrigerated warehouse environment.

Additional PPE may be required based on site safety guidelines
