Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking a Warehouse Selector to join our distribution team in Texas. This on-site role involves operating an electric pallet jack or forklift, organizing and palletizing products to fulfill customer orders, and performing other duties as assigned.

The work environment includes temperature variations and long hours standing. Applicants should be at least 18 years old with 0–1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year relevant work experience.
• 1 year experience in warehouse, military, or physically active job preferred.
• 1 year selection experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 10–75 lbs repeatedly and up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate an electric pallet jack and/or forklift as part of daily duties.

JOB SUMMARY

Work in a Sysco warehouse and be a critical member of the foodservice supply chain. Warehouse Selectors pick orders for delivery to foodservice venues in the local community.

Responsibilities

• Active, physical role that includes operating an electric pallet jack, and/or forklift


• Organizing and palletizing product to build customer orders


• Other duties as assigned.

Safe working environment, working in areas with temperature and humidity variations based on local weather conditions and type of product being selected (i.e., non-refrigerated, refrigerated, and frozen.)

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.


• 0 – 1 Year relevant work experience.


• Frequently lift product that weighs 10 lb - 75 lbs and up to 100 lbs.


• Frequently reach up to 72 inches.


• Constantly bend and twist while operating an electric pallet jack or forklift, retrieving products from lower shelf areas.


• Work in very extreme temperatures (cooler and/or freezer).


• Work on your feet for 10 – 12 hours daily.

Preferred Requirements

• 1 year experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift.


• 1 year of warehouse, military, or physically active job experience.


• 1 year Selection Experience.


• 2 years consistent work history preferred.
