Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Associate

$18.50/hour SIGN ON BONUS $1,500.00

Schedule: Sun-Thu, start between 7:00pm-9:00pm until finish

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, the associate will accurately and efficiently select products in the warehouse, prepare products for shipping by stacking them in an orderly and stable manner, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Read customer orders from label screens and select products by slot and description.
2. Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets in the proper sequence.
3. Attach labels to products.
4. Operate an electric pallet jack (2-pallet length) to move to the correct slot location and transport products to the dock area for staging.
5. Handle products with care.
6. Report any damage of merchandise, equipment, or facilities to a supervisor.
7. Perform daily equipment checks.
8. Assist in facility clean-up and sign off on cleaning tasks assigned by the supervisor.
9. Sign in and out for all equipment used.
10. Use basic communication skills to understand work systems and instructions.
11. Adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), personal hygiene, and SQF (Safe Quality Food) policies as outlined in the European Imports – Sysco Food Safety Training Manual.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 0 – 1 year relevant work experience.
• Frequently lift products weighing 10lb - 75lbs, up to 100lbs.
• Frequently reach up to 72 inches.
• Constantly bend and twist while operating equipment or retrieving products from lower shelves.
• Work in extreme temperatures (cooler and/or freezer).
• Stand for 10 – 12 hours daily.

Preferred Requirements:

• 1 year experience operating electric pallet jacks or forklifts.
• 1 year experience in warehouse, military, or physically active jobs.
• 1 year of selection experience.
• Two years of consistent work history preferred.
