Job summary

UNFI in Hopkins, MN is seeking an Order Selector for the warehouse. You will pull customer orders, palletize, and place items in correct locations using motorized equipment, while maintaining safety practices and teamwork.

The role offers a 4-day schedule with weekly pay, safety shoes provided within the first week, and opportunities to participate in company events and employee resource groups.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Warehouse experience selecting is preferred but not required.
• Lifting objects weighing from less than 20 to 60lbs consistently.
• Occasionally pushing, reaching, pulling, and gripping.
• Must have the ability to work in various temperatures.
• Available for work on Sundays.

Responsibilities

• Identify the pick locations and safely pick the items.
• Inspects assigned equipment for safety issues.
• Picks the correct item and quantity, checking UPC’s or item descriptions.
• Places labels on the side of the cases.
• Shrink wraps and labels with correct truck, stop and other required information.
• Stages pallets in appropriate bay and builds a stable pallet.
• Immediately informs a supervisor or manager of any potential safety threats, any violation of company policy, keeps area clean and debris out of work area.
• Operates pallet jack/pushcart in a safe and efficient manner.
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

Job description

What does it mean to be a part of the Order Selection team?

In this fast-paced role, you are the boots on the ground and responsible for accurately and efficiently pulling customer orders within the warehouse. This role requires strategic thinking and attention to detail while palletizing orders and ensuring they are placed in the correct assigned locations. You will operate motorized equipment including Electric Pallet Jacks while ensuring that you safely and accurately move product within the warehouse. Pay:

• Starting wage is $26.01/hr
• Incentive Pay: Maintain a 100% pick rate for two consecutive weeks and your pay increases to $28.01/hr

Performance Measurements:

• Selector functions are completed in accordance with Company standards and procedures including quality standards and safety regulations.
• Effective communication and coordination exist with Company personnel and with management. Assistance and support are provided as needed.

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
