Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Order Selector in Urbana, IL. You will pull customer orders in a fast-paced warehouse, using a Vocollect headset and electric pallet jacks to move products safely and accurately.

Earn $24.48/hr starting with potential yearly increases. Weekend and freezer shift premiums apply, plus a post-5pm shift premium. Work four days per week, with Sundays required, in a temperature-controlled environment.

• Lifting and handling heavy objects required.
• Ability to operate motorized warehouse equipment may be necessary.

Responsibilities

• Selects a variety of product utilizing a Vocollect Headset.
• Transports products safely through the warehouse on electric pallet jacks.
• Maintains order selection speed and accuracy with minimal damage.
• Ensures labels and pallets are accurate.
• Builds stable pallets and collaborates with teammates.

Job description

What does it mean to be a part of the Order Selection team?

In this fast-paced role, you are the boots on the ground and responsible for accurately and efficiently pulling customer orders within the warehouse. This role requires strategic thinking and attention to detail while palletizing orders and ensuring they are placed in the correct assigned locations. You will operate motorized equipment including Electric Pallet Jacks while ensuring that you safely and accurately move product within the warehouse. $24.48/hr to start with yearly pay increase!

• +$2.00/hr for weekend shifts
• +$2.00/hr for freezer shifts

• +$1.25/hr for shifts past 5pm

Schedule:

• 6:00 am start time - 4:30 pm (or until work completion), 4 days per week - Sunday's required

Work Environment:

• Perishables working in temperatures of 34 degrees down to -15 degrees

Job Responsibilities:

• Selects a variety of product utilizing a Vocollect Headset.
• Transports products safety through the warehouse on electric pallet jacks.
• Maintains order selection performance and standards of speed and accuracy with minimum damage.
• Ensures the labels and pallets are accurate.
• Build stable and well cubed pallets.
• Maintains a positive attitude and sense of teamwork.
• Assists other departments with work activities as needed.
• Builds strong relationships within the warehouse to promote safe and respectful working environment.
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting objects 30 lbs. weighing up to 100 lbs. consistently
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Pushing, sitting, touching, reaching, climbing, pulling, and gripping
• Willing to work in temperature-controlled and non-temperature-controlled environments
• Steel toe or composite toe footwear is required

Compensation:

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position.
