Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is hiring a Warehouse Selector to pick, gather and organize products for delivery to local customers. You’ll operate walkie-riders or pallet jacks, wrap pallets and ensure order accuracy while maintaining safety.

The role requires standing and lifting up to 60 lbs, with paid training and day-one benefits. Compensation starts at $17/hour for 1st shift with a 9 am start and a 4 days on / 3 days off schedule in North East, MD.

Qualifications

• Basic order picking experience or ability to follow order sheets.
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safety.
• Ability to lift and move up to 60 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Pick items using order sheets or an audio headset.
• Stack items on pallet for wrapping and loading at bay doors.
• Ensure order accuracy while following safety standards.
• Operate walkie-rider or pallet jack to move cases and apply labels.
• Wrap products securely to prevent damage.
• Inform supervisor of discrepancies in quantities or descriptions.
• Perform equipment inspections and complete forms.
• Frequent safe lifting of varying weights and heights.
• Follow all material handling safety procedures.

Position Overview

As a Warehouse Selector, you’ll pick, gather &; organize product and prepare orders for delivery to local customers. • Earn $17 per hour
• 1st shift: 9 am start; 4 days on 3 days off
• North East, MD 21901

Job Description

You will contribute by:

• Picking various items by using order sheets or an audio headset
• Stacking items on a pallet for wrapping and loading at the bay doors
• Ensuring accuracy to orders while adhering to our safety standards
• Operating a double walkie-rider or electric pallet jack to remove cases of products from storage rack &; place on pallet and apply selection labels to appropriate cases (not in all cases)
• Utilizing proper wrapping techniques to ensure safety of product to prevent damages
• Informing Supervisor of any differences in case quantity and/or description
• Performing equipment inspections & completion of appropriate form
• Frequent safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

• Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift
• Walking between 6-12 miles per day on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.
• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more
• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead
• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height
• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
