Job description

Position Overview

As a Selector Trainee, you will work individually selecting full-case grocery, frozen, and/or perishable products from warehouse pick slots using a pallet jack or other equipment. You will use order sheets or an audio headset to assist in selection. Your tasks include fitting items on a pallet, plastic wrapping bundles, transporting pallets to the shipping dock, and sometimes loading them onto trailers for delivery. Safety is our top priority. CANDIDATES MUST HAVE AN OPEN SCHEDULE AND ABILITY TO WORK IN BOTH DEPARTMENTS (FREEZER & DRY GROCERY).

* Starting pay at $25.85
* Production Incentive pay available after training

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure accuracy and safety compliance in work
• Utilize pick sheet technology (voice, scanner) for product selection
• Operate double walkie-rider or pallet jack to move products and label cases
• Transport pallets to shipping dock for delivery
• Apply proper wrapping techniques to secure products
• Write store numbers on pallets when required
• Change batteries in equipment as needed
• Maintain a clean work area
• Complete equipment inspection forms
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

• Stand, bend, pull, lift, and pivot up to 90% of shift
• Walk 6-12 miles daily on various surfaces
• Lift products weighing 1-60 lbs., often from floor to overhead
• Work on multiple levels of varying heights
• Handle sharp objects safely

Work Environment:

• Warehouse: Freezer (-20F to 0F)
• Warehouse: Grocery (50F to 90F)
