Job summary

Sysco Central California, Inc. is hiring Warehouse Order Selectors to join our distribution team. You will pick, palletize, and prepare orders for delivery to foodservice customers in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role requires physical work, operating an electric pallet jack or forklift, and adhering to safety procedures in cooler and freezer areas. Overtime and incentives are available, with career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 0-1 year of related warehouse experience or similar work.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 75 lbs and be on your feet 10-12 hours per day.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures (cooler or freezer).

Responsibilities

• Operate an electric pallet jack and/or forklift.
• Pick and organize orders for delivery to customers.
• Build customer orders by palletizing products.
• Assist with other duties as assigned within the warehouse.
• Maintain safe work environment and follow all safety procedures.

JOB SUMMARY

Work in a Sysco warehouse and be a critical member of the foodservice supply chain. Warehouse Selectors pick orders for delivery to foodservice venues in the local community.

Active, physical role that includes operating an electric pallet jack, and/or forklift

Organizing and palletizing product to build customer orders

Other duties as assigned.

Safe working environment, working in areas with temperature and humidity variations based on local weather conditions and type of product being selected (i.e., non-refrigerated, refrigerated, and frozen.)

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 0 - 1 Year relevant work experience.
• Frequently lift product that weighs 10lb - 75lbs and up to 100lbs.
• Frequently reach up to 72 inches.
• Constantly bend and twist while operating an electric pallet jack or forklift, retrieving products from lower shelf areas.
• Work in very extreme temperatures (cooler and/or freezer).
• Work on your feet for 10 - 12 hours daily.

Preferred Requirements

• 1 year experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift.
• 1 year of warehouse, military, or physically active job experience.
• 1 year Selection Experience.
• 2 years consistent work history preferred.
