Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers is seeking a Warehouse Selector in Aberdeen, MD. You will pick, gather, and organize products, and prepare orders for delivery to local customers.

The role requires standing, walking long shifts, and lifting up to 60 lbs, with incentive pay after training and opportunities for advancement. Paid training, weekly pay, and benefits from day one are offered, along with PTO, holiday pay, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• GED or HS diploma required.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift and move up to 60 lbs.
• Experience with order picking and audio headset is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pick items using order sheets or audio headset.
• Stack items on pallets for wrapping and loading at bay doors.
• Ensure order accuracy and safety standards.
• Operate walkie-rider or pallet jack to move cases and apply labels.
• Wrap products securely to prevent damage.
• Inform supervisor of quantity or description discrepancies.

As a Warehouse Selector, you’ll pick, gather & organize product and prepare orders for delivery to local customers. Compensation & Hours

• Earn $23 per hour + $2/hr = $25/hr; Incentive pay after training
• Full Time: 4 days on 3 days off; 7 am until finished
• Aberdeen, MD 21001

Job Description

You will contribute by:

• Picking various items by using order sheets or an audio headset
• Stacking items on a pallet for wrapping and loading at the bay doors
• Ensuring accuracy to orders while adhering to our safety standards
• Operating a double walkie-rider or electric pallet jack to remove cases of products from storage rack & place on pallet and apply selection labels to appropriate cases (not in all cases)
• Utilizing proper wrapping techniques to ensure safety of product to prevent damages
• Informing Supervisor of any differences in case quantity and/or description
• Performing equipment inspections & completion of appropriate form
• Frequent safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

• Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift
• Walking between 6-12 miles per day on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.
• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more
• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead
• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height
• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
