Job summary

Performance Foodservice, a PFG broadline distributor, seeks a warehouse associate to select cases and containers, palletize orders, and prepare shipments with electric pallet jacks. This team member will work in a multi-temperature environment and adhere to safety and quality standards to keep product flow efficient.

Position requires standing, lifting up to 100 pounds, and operating pallets in a multi-level rack system.

Qualifications

• Ability to work scheduled/assigned shifts, including required overtime.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, stack, and/or pull product weighing 10-35 lbs. regularly and up to approximately 60-100 lbs. (location dependent).
• Ability to pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines.
• Review work schedule, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations.
• Perform a safety check on pallet jack/forklift to be used and ensure all other safety devices are functioning properly.
• Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
• Place pallets on pallet jack and operate along assigned multi-level racks and locate products according to order sheets.
• Manually place the appropriate stock items on pallet from pick slots and racks as required.
• Transport completed palletized customer order to shipping dock staging area.
