Job summary

Ryerson in Spokane, WA is seeking a Warehouse Operator to maintain stock levels and support production on the shop floor. You will pull, stage, break down, and package material to meet customer orders, while operating machines and moving material with overhead cranes and forklifts.

Responsibilities include daily machine operation, verifying work orders on the computer, and performing truck loading/unloading. Onboarding includes enrollment in a registered apprenticeship program.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or manufacturing settings.
• Forklift/side-loader experience preferred.
• Overhead crane operation preferred.
• Able to use standard measuring tools (tape measure, micrometer, caliper).
• Basic computer skills and comfort with a computer.
• Pass physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Onboarding includes enrollment in a registered apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

• Pulling and staging feedstock for production orders
• Breaking down bulk bundles for customer specific orders
• Packaging of material to customer requirements
• Daily machine operation to produce parts to customer specifications
• Work order confirmation on computer
• Operating an overhead crane, forklift, and side loader to move material as needed
• Truck loading/unloading
