Job summary

Medline Industries, LP is seeking a Warehouse Operator at our Grayslake location. The Warehouse Operator is crucial to our team, responsible for operating machinery to move materials for shipping and processing. This role includes unloading, scanning, moving, and sorting products, as well as maintaining a clean work area.

Applicants should have proficiency in English, be able to lift 50 lbs, and manage tasks for extended periods. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with a sense of urgency and flexibility for overtime. Benefits include health insurance and paid time off.

Job Summary

Medline Industries, LP is the leading nationwide supplier of medical, surgical and pharmaceutical products to hospitals, nursing homes, HME providers, surgery centers, physician offices and home care/hospice settings. Due to continued growth we are in need of a Warehouse Operator to join our team. The Warehouse Operator is an integral part of our team’s success. Our Warehouse Operators are responsible for operating machinery to move materials around a facility for shipping, processing and receiving. This might include unloading, scanning, moving, staging, loading, locating, picking, relocating, and stacking product.

Responsibilities

• Catalogues, records, and organizes materials received at the warehouse; arrange materials for order assembly
• Fulfills worksheets or tickets for customers by reading production schedules, order forms and requisitions
• Locates and gathers products to move and distribute to production workers, assembly line, or shipping areas
• Assembles, builds, wraps, sorts, and transports customer orders
• Operates hand truck, cart, doilies, forklift, order-picker, and walkie to transport items
• Maintains a clean and safe work area

Required Experience

• Ability to speak, read, and write English with proficiency; read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; basic keypunch skills
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, lift for extended periods daily
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours per day up to 6 days a week
• Must have a high sense of urgency
• Flexibility to work mandatory overtime based on business needs

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• 1-3 months related experience and/or training

Salary

Anticipated salary range: $20.25 - $29.25 hourly. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
