Cerro Wire LLC in Ogden, Utah is seeking dedicated warehouse team members to join our distribution center. The role involves stocking, loading and unloading, order picking, and operating heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment with a 2-2-3 12-hour shift schedule and a Monday–Friday 3:00pm–11:00pm window.

Hourly pay starts at $24.00 with benefits commencing day one, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401k plan. Overtime and weekly pay for hourly staff are included.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and interpret orders in English.
• Prior warehouse and/or equipment experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must clear pre-employment drug test, physical, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely move, load, and unload merchandise in the warehouse and plant.
• Operate heavy equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts.
• Maintain safe work environment and report hazards.
• Receive and document merchandise in the system and paper forms.
• Ensure accurate product labeling, shipping preparation, and inventory counts.
• Complete safety inspections on equipment and participate in 6S process.

Job Description Summary

Cerrowire in Ogden, Utah is home to a great team across the plant! As we have positions become available, we will contact you to discuss an opportunity to join our team.

Our warehouse teams that work 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule as Receivers. With order pickers working an 8-hour shift across a 5-day work week. This position is Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:00pm.

We pay our hourly team members weekly. Salaried positions are paid bi-monthly.

Hourly warehouse position pay ranges start at $24.00 and increase from there. Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance benefits begin day one. No waiting period!

Responsible for a variety of functions within the distribution center, such as stocking, loading, and unloading merchandise, order picking, and operating heavy-duty equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently move, place, and load product throughout the warehouse, plant, and transport vehicles.
• Work to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and all teammates, always.
• Collecting merchandise from the distribution center and safely transport materials to the shipping bay.
• Provide a positive experience and interaction for those dropping and/or picking up inventory, supplies, etc.
• Manage all materials with appropriate care.
• Receiving and documenting merchandise for delivery or return in the system and on paper forms.
• Ensure product, order, and/or transport information put into the system is completed timely and accurately.
• Keeping an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse.
• Identifying any missing, lost, or damaged materials and immediately notify the supervisor.
• Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping.
• Complete all required safety inspections on any equipment used.
• Obtain and maintain a Cerro Wire issued forklift certification.
• Run assigned equipment to prescribed guidelines at all times.
• If an unsafe action, process, or environment is seen immediately stop any and all actions that could cause injury or damage and report it to the leadership team.
• Ensuring all duties, functions and responsibilities are completed in a safe manner.
• When unclear, ask question(s) to obtain a full and clear understanding of the task and/or standard at hand.
• Scanning labels to ensure products are labeled accurately to reflect the correct product and weight.
• Build, maintain, and continue to improve the 6S process in your assigned area. Support 6S efforts across the plant floor and property with every shift.
• Assist where needed on the plant floor as assigned by leadership completing duties other than your regularly assigned duties. Including cleaning, organizing products, supplies, and materials in your area, across the plant floor, and property, supporting other operators with production, supporting maintenance with projects and other needs. As well as completing required trainings, policy review and acknowledgement, attending meetings, and inventory management.
• Assist as needed with training new team members to understand our processes, systems, and expectations.
• Work overtime as needed for training, projects, inventory, and other functions.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High-energy individual with a strong work ethic, the work is fast paced and very physical.
• Must be able to read, write, and interpret orders in English.
• Lift, carry, shift, stage, load, and lower a minimum of up to 75lbs reels, boxes, coils, etc. Consistently throughout the entire shift.
• Prior warehouse and/or equipment experience is preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must clear a pre-employment drug test, physical assessment, and background check.
