Position Purpose:

Oversees daily warehouse operations performing a variety of routine tasks in the production and shipment of Recyclepak boxes and pails. Operates equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, bailers, compactors, air compressors, strappers, scanners, packaging systems and heat tunnels. The lead supervises staff, and ensures safety protocols are followed, all while striving for efficiency and productivity.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities:

• Supervise staff and ensure safety protocols are followed, all while striving for efficiency and productivity.
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment at all times. Work safely and wear appropriate PPE for the task.
• Comply with all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Construct packaging/boxes/containers and prepare for shipment.
• Move material within the facility using appropriate equipment such as hand trucks, pallet trucks, forklifts, etc.
• Operate and perform routine maintenance/inspections on packaging equipment and strappers.
• Prepare large Recyclepak orders for shipment.
• Perform general housekeeping duties and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background:

• High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Knowledge of VES-TS standard operating procedures, policies, and regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
