Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking a warehouse associate in the Greer, SC area. The role involves performing routine non-hazardous waste movement tasks under direct supervision, including material handling, packaging, and general site cleanup.

Typical hours are Monday–Thursday with one Friday per month; candidates should have 1–3 years in warehouse work and forklift/tugger experience. Benefits are provided as part of Veolia's employee program.

Responsibilities

• Break down cardboard and car parts.

• Bag Plastic.
• Perform general housekeeping duties.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
• Inspect material handling equipment as directed.
• Assist in loading/unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials at designated sites using appropriate equipment.

Job Description

Position Purpose

Responsible for performing a variety of routine non-hazardous waste tasks in the movement of solids. Under direct supervision, tasks could include all types of manual labor.

The hours are Monday to Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 6.15 p.m. and will work one Friday per month from 7.00 a.m. to Noon.

Primary Duties /Responsibilities

• Break down cardboard and car parts.
• Pick up cardboard using a tugger or forklift and dump into a compactor.
• Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums and/or containers according to RCRA and disposal guidelines.
• Bag Plastic.
• Perform general housekeeping duties.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
• Inspection material handling equipment as directed.
• Assist in the loading/unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials at designated sites utilizing appropriate equipment for which you are appropriately trained.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background

• High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred
• One to three years of warehouse experience
• One to three years of forklift or tugger experience

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Ability to communicate through reading and writing
• Trained in the use of material handling equipment
