POSITION SUMMARY
The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for operating MHEs to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count inventory. Computer data entry is required for receipts, shipments, and inventory maintenance. The associate assists the supervisor or manager in ensuring compliance with quality standards and company policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accurate warehouse inventory.
- Direct customer interface to answer questions and resolve issues.
- Return material from customer to factory.
- Transfer material to the appropriate area.
- Relocate material to maintain inventory range and locations.
- Safely use all equipment.
- Function autonomously, reporting progress and issues to supervisor or management.
- Follow company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Maintain appropriate records and reports to ensure inventory control and security. Conduct physical inventory as required and assist in daily or monthly cycle counts. Support shipping and receiving in locating missing items throughout the facility.
- Perform safety audits per operation requirements and report or correct unsafe operations.
- Participate in daily start‑up and staff meetings as required; assist supervision as needed.
- Use PC skills for e‑mail and generating reports as required.
- Initiate actions to prevent non‑conformities related to product, process, or quality system; identify and record problems; recommend solutions; verify implementation.
- Review and investigate issues with inbound and outbound functions, including unloading, checking, stacking, storing, order pulling, staging, labeling, and loading. Ship material to the factory upon client requests; notify management when procedures require updates.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Perform housekeeping audits per operational requirements.
OTHER DUTIES (SITE SPECIFIC)
- Assist leadership as needed.
- Work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, as required. Participate in cross‑training matrix activities to broaden knowledge in multiple departments and act as a backup associate when needed.
- Work overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and or Experience
- Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Six months of experience working in a logistics, distribution, or relevant environment.
- Able to operate MHE.
- Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months, ranging from mild to moderate.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations
- Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Computer Skills
- Basic computer skills.
- RF scanners.
- WMS functions.
Language Skills
- English (reading, writing, verbal).
Mathematical Skills
- Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing, and distributing client products.
Other
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy; accomplish job tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
- Must be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast‑paced work environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- One to three years of experience working in an inventory department.
- One to three years forklift experience.
- Current or prior MHE certification.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Occasionally: Hand and finger manipulation, sitting, handling product and/or packaging materials.
Frequently: Bending.
Constantly: Walking and standing.
Ability to lift, carry, and push or pull 21 to 50 pounds.
- Reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee is rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
PAY
Expected base pay range is $24.00 to $24.00. Actual compensation will be determined based on job‑related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
