National Sugar Marketing Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Operator 2 in Illinois to join our warehouse team. You will load and unload bagged sugar, maintain inventory, and ensure a safe, efficient operation to meet customer needs.

The role requires handling orders, inspecting equipment, and preparing shipments while following company policies. A high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of forklift experience are required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years forklift experience or training.
• Valid driver’s license or state ID.
• Forklift certification as required by site.

Responsibilities

• Unload boxcars and trucks of bagged sugar and store in the warehouse for delivery to meet the needs of various customers.
• Clean, inspect, and prepare railcars and trucks for loading of sugar to be shipped to various customers.
• Prepare orders for transfer of sugar to bulk trucks using gravity hoppers.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety rules and procedures.
• Communicate policies, safety and Environmental Requirements, and Other Company Policies.
• Keep proper documentation on all orders and maintain inventory control procedures.
• Ensure railcars and trucks are properly sealed and paperwork is filed for entry into the system.
• Assist in releasing empty inbound railcars by cleaning, closing doors, and removing derailers.
• Maintain AIB and/or SQF standards throughout the warehouse and storage facilities.
• Assist in maintenance, sanitation, and overall cleanliness of the warehouse and surrounding grounds.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Subject to Drug and Alcohol workplace policies.

Warehouse Operator 2

Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Status: Non-Exempt

Maintaining a safe working environment. Load and unload railcars and trucks of bagged sugar to maintain an inventory of product to meet the needs of various customers. Perform general warehouse duties as assigned.

• Unload boxcars and trucks of bagged sugar and store in the warehouse for delivery to meet the needs of various customers.
• Clean, inspect, and prepare railcars and trucks for the loading of sugar to be shipped to various customers.
• Prepare orders for transfer of sugar to bulk trucks to be shipped to various customers using gravity hoppers.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following all the safety rules and procedures including the effective use of all safety devices and equipment.
• Communicate orally and in writing, read and understand oral and written policies, safety and Environmental Requirements, And Other Company Policies.
• Keep proper documentation on all orders and maintain proper inventory control procedures.
• Ensuring that all railcars and trucks are properly sealed, and all paperwork is accurately filled out and given to the clerk for keying into the system.
• Assist in making sure all empty inbound railcars are properly released by cleaning, shutting doors, and removing deployed derailers.
• Maintain AIB and/or SQF standards throughout the warehouse and storage facilities.
• Assist in the maintenance, sanitation, and overall cleanliness of the warehouse and surrounding grounds.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
