Warehouse Operator I

Alcon is looking to hire a Warehouse Operator I to join our Material Distribution Team in Houston, Texas, US.

You will be responsible for receiving and inspecting goods, verifying items against shipment records, and gathering, verifying, and packing items for shipment according to specifications and transportation methods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recording received and shipped items
  • Performing manual and clerical shipping and/or receiving duties, including using hand trucks, forklifts, and computers to maintain data
  • Receiving incoming materials or preparing materials for shipment
  • Verifying quantity, weight, and conformance of materials; preparing records of shipped materials and bills of lading; routing materials to destinations
  • Fabricating and assembling nonstandard shipping crates and boxes, and preparing parts and tooling for special shipments
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate fluently in English
  • Work hours: 2nd Shift (10 hours) Monday-Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM
