Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings is hiring for a distribution associate in Bolingbrook, IL. You will be responsible for accurate receiving, storage, picking and shipping of product. The role requires the ability to stand/walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and operate equipment safely.

Qualifications

• Preferred high school degree.
• Must be able to read, count accurately, do simple math and write legibly.
• Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Inbound Freight: inspect shipments for damage, update forms, sign for inbound deliveries, and move goods as needed.
• Storage: maximize space and store items on racks.
• Order Picking: verify product, transport to shipping areas, label orders as required.
• Outbound Freight: verify quantities and addresses, accept signatures, load deliveries.
• Facility/Equipment: maintain clean, safe work areas and operate equipment.
• Inventory: keep records, assist in counts, rotate stock.
• Other Duties: re-pack or re-box damaged goods and operate shrink-wrap machine.
