Forklift Operator - ($21.17 - $21.67, FT)
requires a minimum of 2 years' sit-down experience required
This role involves driving a sit-down lift, loading outbound trailers, picking up finished goods skids and placing them in the warehouse or on to trailers. Forklift Operators must be able to operate a forklift with limited supervision in various warehouse capacities and be able to perform all Radio Frequency (RF) scanning functions needed to properly receive, place, remove, transfer and ship finished products and supplies throughout the facility.
NOTE: Riviana does not conduct any Cherry Picking, Reach Lift, Pick & Pack types of warehouse operations - just sit-down lift operations
Key Aspects of the Role:
12 hour shifts — will either be day (4a — 4p) or night (4p — 4a) — the company will assign as needed
Work OT as required
Must have at least 2 years' sit-down experience
Must have a current forklift drivers license
Willing to learn multiple roles in warehouse operations
Able to operate computer equipment (scan gun and SAP)
Learn quickly, proactive in efforts to improve warehouse operations
Work well with others in a team environment (frequent, effective, and quick communication)
Positive attitude
Follow safety rules and operational procedures
Maintain a clean and safe environment for themselves and their peers
Take an active role in the department - provide/receive training, critical problem solving, and strive to be a top performer with optimal production numbers
