Job summary

Andersen Corporation is seeking a material handler to load, transport, and organize materials across the plant floor in a safety‑driven environment. The role requires basic computer skills, teamwork, and a strong commitment to 6S practices to maintain clean, efficient storage and packaging areas.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts, verifying material received, and assisting with shipping documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills – keyboarding, Windows.
• Safe record while operating machines that transport materials.
• Ability to articulate problems and solutions verbally.
• Ability and skills to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and transport material to proper area following ordering guidelines for material.
• Must operate equipment in safe and prudent manner to not harm people, damage equipment, facilities or material.
• Maintain forklift in accordance with daily checklist and schedule maintenance or report breakdowns.
• Maintain stock, inventory levels and records; assist in scheduling.
• Handle packaging materials for loading or supplier returns; unloads and signs for material received.
• Participate in 6S activities and uphold safety policies.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks as necessary and prepare flats for loading.

Contact appropriate personnel to schedule regular maintenance or for equipment breakdowns.Maintain stock, inventory levels, inventory records and assists in scheduling as directed by the supervisor.Maintains storage areas in safe, orderly, and clean manner.Handle packaging materials as necessary for loading or supplier returns.Unloads, identifies, verifies, and signs for material received.Record necessary data.Participate and sustain 6S activities.Work in a safe manner and follow safety policies.
