The SAP EWM Operator is essential for executing day-to-day warehouse operations utilizing SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). This position acts as the crucial link between physical material handling, including receiving, put away, picking, shipping, and digital inventory accuracy. The operator leverages RF barcodes scanners and industrial terminals to process tasks in real time, ensuring maximum operational throughput, inventory integrity, and order fulfillment accuracy.
As part of the DSV team, associates are expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, and quality. Associates are expected to comply with all corporate and site-specific policies.
Execute inbound receiving activities: unload shipments, verify physical quantities against ASN/PO documents, and generate goods receipts in SAP EWM.
Perform systematic put away using RF handheld devices according to SAP EWM automated slotting and bin location strategies.
Execute wave picking and order fulfillment tasks utilizing voice picking or RF scan workflows (FIFO/FEFO rules).
Conduct packing, staging, shipping confirmation, and goods issue postings for outbound customer and transfer orders.
Perform physical inventory checks, continuous cycle counting, and inventory adjustments directly within SAP EWM.
Monitor storage bins, storage types, handling units (HUs), and stock categories (e.g., Unrestricted, Quality Inspection, Blocked).
Identify physical vs. System inventory discrepancies and execute corrective replenishment or bin to bin transfers.
Manage batch tracking, serial number assignment, and catch-weight verification where required.
Troubleshoot real-time EWM warehouse task exceptions (e.g., bin locks, quantity shortfalls, damaged stock reporting).
Process customer returns, blocked stock relocation, scrap processing, and quarantine hold workflows per SOPs.
