Job summary

  • Safely operate a lift and stack materials 2-high.

In addition, the Company also manufactures railroad cross ties, which strengthens our relationship with our suppliers in the charcoal business. We offer a full suite of grilling products including charcoal briquettes, all-natural lump charcoal, fire starters along with the Pine Mountain fire-building brand, the Diamond brand, and the Specialty Wood Products brand.

Position Summary

Royal Oak is looking for a Warehouse Operator C. This position is responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing, and sending inventory according to purchase orders and shipping schedules.

Job Responsibilities
  • Can assist mixer and dryer operators with quality checks
  • Receive in and unload raw materials
  • Process raw materials to meet daily targets
  • Conduct cycle counts
  • Ability to obtain a forklift license
  • Able to load, unload and drive the tram
  • Complete paperwork for loading/unloading trucks
  • Safely operate a lift
  • Able to stack 2 high safely and effectively
  • Maintain 5S
  • Excellent people skills
Position Requirements/Qualifications
  • Successful candidate must be positive, open-minded, and be able to display outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and change or adapt to work practices based on changing work demands.
  • She/he will possess very strong communication skills and an ability to establish effective working relationships with people at all levels of the organization (written and verbal).
  • Safety must be of high importance and a priority to the candidate.
  • Must be very analytical with commitment to accuracy, quality, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Time management, efficiency and the ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure are imperative skills for success in this role.
  • Must have forklift experience in a warehouse/distribution facility.
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Physical Requirements And Work Environment
  • Standing/walking for extended periods of time
  • May involve repetitive movements
  • Frequent bending, stooping, pushing and pulling as necessary
  • Ability to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions
  • Ability to work overtime and occasionally on weekends with short notice
  • Casual manufacturing/distribution environment with concrete floors and moving equipment
