Job summary

Ryerson is seeking a Warehouse Operator in Spokane to maintain stock levels and support production on the shop floor. You will pull, stage, and break down feedstock, package material to customer specs, and perform daily machine operations to meet customer requirements.

Candidates will join a registered apprenticeship program during onboarding. Prior warehouse/manufacturing experience and forklift/ crane familiarity are preferred; basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Reading and math skills are required.
• Inspections and measurement knowledge is needed.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Experience in warehouse/manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Forklift/side-loader experience and crane operation are a plus.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to pass a physical requirements exam are required.

Responsibilities

• Pulling and staging feedstock for production orders.
• Breaking down bulk bundles for customer orders.
• Packaging material to customer specs.
• Operate daily machines to produce parts per specs.
• Record work order confirmations on a computer.
• Move material with overhead crane, forklift, and side loader as needed.
• Load and unload trucks.
