Job summary

Allied Seed, LLC seeks a reliable packaging and operations assistant to support daily plant floor duties at our Albany, OR facility. You will help ensure correct packaging weights, oversee seed treatment levels, and assist with forklift and packaging equipment as needed.

This role requires physical stamina and attention to safety. High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

Purpose And Summary Statement

The purpose for this position is to assist in daily operational duties at the facility.

Essential Job Functions

• Assists with operational functions ensuring that product is packaged at correct weight and that proper levels of seed treatment are being applied.
• Stacks, stencils, cleans, and properly tags bags on pallet.
• Maintains an accurate count of product bagged and/or boxed.
• Operates necessary machinery such as forklifts, packaging equipment, seed cleaning, etc.

Other Job Functions

• Follows Allied Seed’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof.
• Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
• Understanding and experience with competitive adeptness, inventory management, product knowledge and proficiency,
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Frequently required to lift 51‑70 lbs as needed.
• Frequently exposed to working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures.
• Will be required to work hours other than those considered “normal” to meet seasonal demands.
• Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
