Your Role:

The Warehouse Operator 3 – Split Shift at MilliporeSigma will be responsible for the receipt of all incoming materials, supplies, equipment and returned goods. You will also route or deliver material to storage or production areas and safely operate a variety of materialhandling equipment, which may include narrow aisles, and wire guided “Operator up” machines.Job duties include:

  • Shift hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
  • Manage the complete receiving process for all incoming materials, supplies, equipment, and returned goods, encompassing unloading trailers using power equipment, verifying freight and signing bills of lading, sorting, inspecting, and recording receipt in the system (e.g., SAP), followed by final put-away.
  • Put product away using scanner or computer system
  • Resolve Product issues with Procurement
  • Checks chemicals, catalog number, lot number, special requests information, unit size and weights against order documentation found in packing or receiving instructions
  • Manage outbound shipments by scheduling dock appointments with carriers and executing the packing process according to established procedures and instructions, ensuring compliance with hazardous materials regulations through proper packing, labeling, and marking.
  • Accurately select and stage product with use of power equipment
  • Manage material handling operations including accurate selection and staging of product (using power equipment) and selection/put away using specialized narrow aisle/wire guided/operator up machines; maintain order records; and communicate/resolve discrepancies with internal customers.
  • Deliver product to on-site customers and put product into storage areas
  • Manage inventory accuracy through necessary system adjustments and moves; communicate discrepancies and product issues to Procurement; and liaison with Customer Interface Departments on shipping issues and expedite priorities.
  • Conduct inventory audits (counting and verifying actual location with system), manage the disposition of defective material (removing and shipping to vendors), and perform other miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6+ months experience operating powered industrial trucks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of solid, progressive work experience
  • Basic PC skills
  • Operate SAP and WMS systems, and retrieve pull slips for pull ticket runs
  • Safely operate powered and manual material handling equipment and utilize RF scanners with proficiency for tasks including moving, crating, and auditing material, while understanding basic shipping regulations and information.
  • Strong organizational, written and oral communication, and time management skills.
  • Detail oriented to make sure paperwork
