Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Troy, OH is seeking a Warehouse Operator for the 2nd shift (3 PM–11 PM). You will receive and transport raw materials, store and maintain stock, assemble and load parts for shipment, and keep inventory records accurate.

The role emphasizes safety, housekeeping, and adherence to EH&S policies. You will work onsite at our Troy, OH location, with opportunities to contribute to efficient material flow and packing operations.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year CNC machining experience or 2 years warehouse manufacturing experience.
  • Experience reading routings, blueprints, engineering process specs or work instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Receive job assignments and follow supervisor instructions.
  • Verify receipts and inventory documents; prepare necessary paperwork.
  • Unload/load vehicles and move materials within shipping and receiving areas.
  • Store, retrieve and transport materials to appropriate departments; maintain inventory records.
  • Set up packaging and packing materials; prepare items for shipment; maintain clean work areas.
  • Follow EH&S policies and wear PPE as required.

We are seeking a Warehouse Operator at our Troy, OH location. In this role you will receive and transport raw materials, parts and equipment; store and maintain parts in stockroom; assemble, package, and transport/load parts and equipment.

2nd Shift: Monday-Friday 3P-11P

What You Will Do
  • Receive job assignment and any special instructions from supervisor.
  • Read necessary documents to verify receipts, stockroom materials or shipment items. Prepare necessary documents in support of these duties, including but not limited to material verification slips, receivers, ID slips, inventory slips.
  • Unload or load vehicles, transport materials within shipping, receiving or receiving inspection as required.
  • Receive, store, and retrieve materials from work area and transport as necessary to Shipping, Assembly, Receiving Inspection, Warehouse, Assembly or cell/department and maintain correct inventory records.
  • Initiate orders for packaging supplies when required. Set up SPL packaging jobs. Plan and/or order packaging supplies when required.
  • Deliver materials to/or from mailroom to/or from Shipping and Receiving.
  • Perform duties and operate equipment necessary to prepare items for shipment including but not limited to making boxes or crates, packaging, counting, weighing, labeling, painting or marking items, and appropriate paperwork to complete transaction.
  • Maintain work areas and machines in a clean, safe and orderly manner.
  • Attend training classes, departmental meetings and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Retrieve items from tool crib and complete forms/transactions as required.
  • You will be required to perform substantial reaching and moving while standing, twisting; stooping; and be response to sounds associated to the work environment.
  • You will be required to lift to 25 lbs. unassisted, anything over 25 lbs. will be assisted.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • You will be required to adhere to all EH&S roles and responsibilities as stated in manufacturing work instructions and EHS policies and procedures.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a HS Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year CNC machining experience or minimum of 2 years warehouse manufacturing experience.
  • Experience working with technical documents (including any of the following: routings, blueprints, Engineering process specifications, written work instructions.)
