Job summary

Bell & Evans is seeking a Warehouse Associate for the 2nd shift to help maintain the storage and organization of products in the cooler and freezer. You will ensure that orders are picked accurately and prepared for shipment, using pallet jacks and RF scanning tools.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work well within a team, and follow strict safety guidelines in a cold environment. Some forklift experience is preferred, with training available if needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work safely in a shipping area and follow safety guidelines.
• Ability to read customer orders and verify quantity and codes.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and operate pallet handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform laborer duties: picking, staging, and loading products for orders.
• Ensure accuracy by matching items to order quantities and codes.
• Move product within cooler/freezer using pallet jack and follow safety rules.
• Operate RF Scan Gun to process orders.
• Forklift experience is preferred; training may be provided.
• Assist Shipping Supervisor with other duties as assigned.

2nd Shift Available

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for maintaining the storage and organization of the products within the cooler and freezer to ensure that the product that is being shipped to customers is of the highest quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• The Warehouse Associate will be required to perform laborer duties (picking, staging, and loading products) to complete customer orders
• Ensure proper items are picked accurately by quantity and code date required by customer orders
• Remove and/or store product in the cooler or freezer at its designated location by operating a powered pallet jack while adhering to the company’s safety requirements
• Ability to operate RF Scan Gun
• Hi/Lo (reach) Forklift experience is preferred, but not required. The associate may be trained to operate if interested
• Other duties may be assigned at the request of the Shipping Supervisor.

Qualifications and Demands

To perform the job at a high level, the individual must be able to adhere to all safety guidelines when operating within the shipping area. Must be able to operate a pallet jack with great efficiency. Must be able to work in a cold environment including minimal time in the freezer. Must be able to work well within a team environment as well as be able to communicate effectively with team members. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds regularly. Previous experience as a shipping laborer is preferred but not required.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or at least 3 months of experience and/or training; or the combination equivalent of bother education and experience.
