Job summary

Envision Cold in Boaz, AL is hiring for a new cold storage facility, seeking 2nd Shift Warehouse Operators start between Oct 12 and Nov 2. The shift runs 3:30 PM–12:00 AM, Monday through Friday, with some Saturday coverage and potential overtime.

As a Warehouse Operator you will operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in a cold environment, load and unload, perform inspections, maintain cleanliness, and assist with inventory.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 months forklift experience.
• Maintain a valid forklift operator certification.
• Able to lift 40 lbs repeatedly.
• Comfortable working in cold/freezing temperatures.
• Familiarity with inventory management is a plus.
• Good attendance and work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move goods and materials within the cold storage facility.
• Load and unload trucks, pallets, and containers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Conduct regular equipment inspections and report issues to supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the cold storage facility.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
• Substitute for other operators when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow.
• Follow company policies and regulations regarding cold storage operations.

Description: Envision Cold is opening a new cold storage facility in Boaz, and we're hiring NOW! Our primary need is for 2nd Shift Warehouse Operators with our targeted start date between October 12th and November 2nd.

The facility will operate Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and Saturdays, 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

2nd Shift will be 3:30PM - 12:00AM Monday - Friday with support on Saturdays when needed. This role may also require overtime during the week depending on business needs.

As a Warehouse Operator with Envision Cold, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment in a cold storage environment to safely and efficiently move goods and materials. This role requires knowledge of forklift operation, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a cooler/freezer environment.

What You’ll Do (including, But Not Limited To)

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move goods and materials within the cold storage facility.

• Regularly required to stand, sit, reach, bend, twist, kneel and use hands to handle various products.
• Consistently lift, move, push, pull and carry upwards of 40 lbs. depending on product and business operations.
• Occasionally lift, move, push, pull and carry upwards of 100 lbs. with assistance depending on product and business operations.
• Work around, on or near a variety of equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, warehouse racking systems, electronic devices and refrigeration systems.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a minimum of 3 months’ forklift experience.
• Maintain a valid forklift operator certification.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities as needed.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects (minimum of 40 lbs.) as required.
• Comfortable working in cold/freezing temperatures while wearing personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
• High degree of attention to prevent injury to others.
