Job summary

Knorr Bremse Group is seeking a Warehouse Operator for 1st shift in Springfield, MO. The role offers $18/hr and reports to the Warehouse Manager.

Benefits start day one as you support receiving, storage, and shipping activities. You will work with SAP, UPS World Ship, and follow routing guides while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years of related warehouse experience expected.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and operate equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Understand receiving process and store material.
• Complete receiving reports accurately.
• Read pick lists and select correct material for shipping.
• Pack, band, and wrap material for shipping.
• Utilize SAP shipping functions and UPS World Ship.
• Adhere to customer routing guides and procedures.
• Support Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental policies.
• Follow Integrated Management System policies and KPIs.

Reports to Warehouse Manager

Essential Functions

• Understand the receiving process and how to store customer and in-house material.
• Be able to complete receiving reports accurately.
• Understand how to read “pick” lists and be able to select correct material for shipping.
• Be able to pack, band, and wrap material for shipping.
• Understanding all shipping functions in SAP and be able to use UPS World Ship and customer data base (LTL).
• Understand all customer routing guides and adhere to procedures.
• Must understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies.
• Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.
• Must understand and support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions.
• Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

The employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.e. noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt etc. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One to Two years of related experience.
