Job summary

Carrier in Georgia is seeking a qualified candidate for warehouse responsibilities including picking, packing, loading/unloading, and processing orders. The ideal applicant should possess a High School Diploma or GED and ideally have experience in a high-volume distribution environment.

Responsibilities also entail adherence to safety standards and efficient operation methods. Candidates should be able to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 35 pounds. Carrier is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Job description

Responsibilities include:

• Adhere to all safety requirements and wear appropriate (PPE) Personal Protection Equipment
• Support the picking/packing, loading/unloading and general warehousing duties
• Understand method of locating materials
• Read a packing list and follow defined shipping/receiving protocols
• Record turnbacks
• Process rework work orders/purchase orders
• Perform and reconcile cycle counts, relentless root cause analysis
• Recommend improvements consistently striving for efficient and effective methodologies and maintain departmental quality standards
• Execute JDE transactions relative to your area of responsibility
• Perform 5S
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified PIV Driver preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Experience in a high volume, high complexity, distribution environment preferred
• Must have the ability to bend, stoop, stand, and squat. This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time along with routine lifting of items that typically weigh up to 35 pounds.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
