Job summary

Land O'Lakes, Inc. in Portland, Oregon is seeking a warehouse forklift operator for the 2nd shift (2:30pm–11:00pm). You will support inbound/outbound deliveries, pack and load final products using a forklift, and assist with cycle counts in a union warehousing environment.

This role requires safety adherence, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting, and willingness to work overtime as needed to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 1 year of work experience in any industry.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions.
• Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot.
• Strong collaboration, communication skills, and is always respectful.

• Shows up on time, completes tasks by deadlines, and adapts to changes quickly.
• Processes work orders by selecting correct products from racks, palletizing them, shrink-wrapping, and staging the product order for delivery.

• Ensures all standard operating procedures are followed.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of work area.
• Successful forklift certification required.

Job description

Pay: $27.35 per hour plus Shift Differential: $0.80 per hour

Shift & Working Hours: 2nd Shift 2:30pm to 11:00pm Monday-Friday, Weekends/Overtime/Holidays as needed, hours subject to business needs.

This is a Union Facility, and this position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement.

In this role, you'll be a key member of our Land O'Lakes, Inc. warehousing team, performing front-line processes that ensure successful delivery of final products. You'll gain skills and experience in warehouse operations including coordinating inbound/outbound deliveries, packing/loading final products using a forklift, assisting with cycle counts, and organizing areas of the warehouse. Physical Requirements

• Able to lift/carry up to 60 pounds
• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
• Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
• Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include areas where dust and chemicals are present
