Job Title: Warehouse Operator – Cistern Room, Dump Room, and Single Barrel Operation

Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor

Organizational Layer: Local

General Description of the Role: Warehouse Operator is a union hourly position responsible for filling the roles of the following areas and operations.

Mission/Objectives: Warehouse Operator will work in the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner to fill the roles of Cistern Room, Dump Room or Single Barrel Operators and strive to continuously improve the operation.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:

Cistern Room Operator: The Cistern Room Operator receives raw material from still house, proofs, barrels, and oversees the loading of finished goods to be shipped to warehousing. Responsibilities include leading and motivating the crew, maintaining accurate documentation, and working through operational issues with the Supervisor.

Single Barrel Operator: The Single Barrel Operator receives raw material from the Dump Room or Warehouse and oversees the loading of finished goods to be shipped via individual drums. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation and working through operational issues with the Supervisor.

Dump Room Operator: The Dump Room operator is responsible for the safe and efficient bulk dumping of aged bourbon barrels, leading and motivating the crew, maintaining close coordination with Processing, keeping accurate documentation, and working through operational issues with the supervisor.

Quality:

• Responsible for meeting the general needs for Wild Turkey Distilling facility.
• Comply with established work area quality and consistency checks and measures.
• Comply with all GMP, ISO and food safety standards related to the work site areas.
• Work with appropriate internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and/or to resolve quality risks when identified.

Safety:

• Ensure compliance with GMP practices and site safety rules.
• Promote a safe working environment and adhere to 5S standards.
• Report any safety items to your supervisor.
• Comply with all ISO and food safety standards.
• Must be able to accurately enter data and work efficiently.
• Responsible for the efficient handling of empty barrels, offloading/loading trucks and standing barrels.
• This position will assist classified operators with their job duties.
• This position requires work in outside temperatures.
• Any other duties as assigned by management.

Experience Required:

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment is preferred.

Education / Professional Qualifications:

• High school degree or equivalent.

Essential Job Functions:

• Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and customer service are essential functions.
• Must be capable of standing or walking for extended periods and climbing multiple flights of stairs.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. regularly.
• Must not be afraid of working at heights and be able to work off ladders and in lifts.
• Must be able to visually inspect equipment for compliance with SOPs and safety standards.
