Job summary

Tekninja Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Operator 1 in Allentown, PA for a 6‑month assignment. The role requires forklift experience and the ability to operate RF scanners, pallet jacks, and packing equipment.

OT may be required, with morning to evening shifts based on business needs. Excellent attendance and safety compliance are essential. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, selecting and storing materials, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sit-down and stand-up forklift experience.
• Ability to read, hear, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to operate RF scanners, pallet jacks, selecting carts, packing equipment, and various cutting instruments.
• Ability to operate PCs and printers.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload trailers and trucks with materials and goods.
• Select orders and put away inbound materials.
• Pack orders and prep for shipment; unpack inbound material as needed.
• Perform pre-operation inspections and report maintenance issues.

Job description

Title: Warehouse Operator 1
Duration: 06 Months
Location: Allentown, PA, USA, PA-18106

Pay rate: 23/hr.

Shift: 6am-9am work 8 hours with 30 mins lunch; the latest shift will be 6pm end time

Hours would be M-F depending on business needs, but day shift
could start as early as 6am-9am work 8 hours with 30 mins lunch; the latest shift will be 6pm end time.

Primary responsibilities

• Operate machinery: Safely and efficiently operate various types of powered industrial trucks (forklifts, order pickers, etc.).
• Load and unload: Load and unload trailers and trucks with raw materials, finished goods, or waste products.
• Selecting and putting away: Select orders and put away inbound materials.
• Packing/unpacking: At times, will be asked to pack orders and prep orders for shipment. Also, it will be required to be able to unpack inbound material to be put away into inventory.
• Inspect equipment: Perform and document daily pre-operation inspections and report any maintenance issues to ensure equipment is in safe working order.
• Maintain the work area: Keep the work area clean, orderly, and safe by tidying up materials and removing waste or other debris.
• Stock management: Move, stack, and stage products, materials, or cases in designated locations, including high racking systems.
• Documentation: Use handheld scanners to accurately track and record the movement of products or maintain manual logs and records.
• Safety and compliance: Follow all safety rules and procedures, and comply with company policies and operational guidelines.
• Miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned.
• Exemplary attendance and adherence to schedule

Critical Skills:

Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, or crawl for long periods of time and be able to stay on your feet for eight hours.
• The employee must be able to talk, hear, taste and smell.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Employee may be required to move more than 50 pounds with assistance.
• Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision, distance vision, colour vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly uses phones, computers, computer monitors and all office equipment.
• The employee is also required to type at a computer keyboard and have the ability to read CRTs/computer monitors.
