Micheldever Tyres is hiring a Warehouse Operative to pick orders, load and unload vehicles, and put stock away. The role involves manual handling and occasional driving tasks.

The shift is Monday to Friday, 12:30 to 22:00, with a starting salary around £29,742+ including Forklift Bonus and staff discounts, plus benefits like life insurance and pension. Training and progression opportunities are available to all staff.

Qualifications

• Reliable and enthusiastic individuals with a strong work ethic and good customer service skills.
• Understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Check goods received and dispatched for faults.
• Maintain high stock accuracy; report discrepancies.
• Move goods efficiently within the warehouse per instructions.
• Load outbound vehicles safely and correctly.
• Put-away stock into proper locations and prepare items for dispatch.
• Occasionally cover delivery drivers.

• Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday12.30 to 22.00

About the role:

• Ensure all goods received and sent out are checked for faults and reported as required
• Ensure high levels of count accuracy at Stock Audits, effectively communicating stock discrepancies, shortages or problem areas
• Ensure any movement of goods within the Warehouse environment is efficient and accurate according to instruction
• Ensure out-bound vehicles are loaded in a proper, safe manner, according to instruction, Company Practice and current legislation
• Ensure all received stock is ‘put-away’ in the correct locations within the Warehouse and all goods due for dispatch are processed, picked and loaded correct to customer order and DC requirements.
• Experience in driving / willingness to occasionally cover our delivery drivers

About you:

• We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals with a strong work ethic and good customer service skills.
• You will have an understanding of workplace Health & Safety and work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in a similar fast-paced, physically demanding environment, Fork lift licence, Counterbalance or Reach Truck, ideal but not essential
