Spring into a new career at Lakeland Distribution Centre!
What will my job look like?
As a Warehouse Operative, you will move goods through our Distribution Centre safely and accurately, making sure products reach our stores and customers on time and in excellent condition.
You will be responsible for operating our warehouse trucks, including order pickers, powered pallet trucks and counterbalance FLT. You could be unloading containers, organising pallets on the warehouse floor, or picking stock for our retail stores and ecommerce department.
Shift Pattern and Operating Hours:
Shifts at Lakeland Distribution Centre operate between the hours of 6:45am to 9pm Monday to Sunday, with exact working pattern to be discussed in more detail at interview.
What experience do I need?
Holding a valid forklift licence is ideal, but we still encourage applications from those who don’t have one. You might have an expired licence, or similar experience that would make you a suitable driver. If you have experience operating reach trucks, we’re particularly keen to hear from you.
We’ll enrol you in our in-house training programme to make sure you are prepared to work safely in our warehouse.
What are we looking for?

Experience in operating warehouse trucks (or similar).
Understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace.
Work accurately, efficiently and at pace towards daily targets.
Be comfortable at performing manual tasks.
Be reliable and punctual, with good communication skills.
Be motivated to work both independently and as part of a team.
Put basic computer and maths skills into practice to make sure stock levels are accurate (or be open to developing these skills).
