Royal Terberg Group is seeking a proactive Warehouse Operative to join our team in Elland. You will support day-to-day warehouse operations, ensure accurate stock control and oversee goods receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatching efficiently.

You will work closely with a busy team to maintain high safety and quality standards, meeting service and delivery targets while following company systems and procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy warehouse environment.
• Experience receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching goods.
• Forklift Licence (desirable) and ability to operate related equipment.
• Knowledge of stock control processes and FIFO principles.

Responsabilités

• Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Receive goods and check for damage or discrepancies.
• Store stock accurately in designated locations.
• Pick and pack orders for customers and engineers.
• Prepare goods for dispatch with correct labelling and packaging.
• Operate warehouse equipment where authorised.
• Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory systems.
• Carry out regular stock counts and participate in inventory control.
• Ensure goods are delivered damage-free to destinations.
• Complete warehouse documentation and records.

We are looking for a proactive and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our team in Elland. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the warehouse, maintaining accurate stock control, and ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, packed and dispatched efficiently.

Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor

Working as part of a busy warehouse team, you will help ensure customers and field engineers receive the right parts at the right time while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and operational efficiency.

What You'll Be Doing

• Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Receive incoming goods and check for damage, discrepancies or missing items.
• Store stock accurately and safely within designated warehouse locations.
• Pick and pack orders for customers and field engineers.
• Prepare goods for dispatch, ensuring items are correctly labelled and packaged.
• Operate warehouse equipment and forklifts where authorised.
• Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory information using company systems.
• Carry out regular stock counts and assist with inventory control activities.
• Ensure all goods are delivered damage-free and to the correct destination.
• Complete warehouse documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Support the "Goods In" and "Goods Out" processes to ensure operational efficiency.
• Keep warehouse areas clean, organised and safe at all times.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet service and delivery targets.

• Awareness of warehouse health and safety requirements.
• Competent using warehouse systems and Microsoft applications.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Previous experience working within a busy warehouse environment.
• Experience receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching goods.
• Forklift Truck Licence (desirable), including one or more of:
  • Side Loader
  • Counterbalance
  • Combi Truck
  • Pallet Stacker
• Experience using stock control or warehouse management systems would be advantageous.
