Job summary

NC Department of Adult Correction is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Supervisor I to oversee daily warehouse operations at the Central Supply Warehouse in Raleigh. You will supervise two administrative staff, ensure accurate inventory, and coordinate inbound/outbound material flows while maintaining compliance with state procurement processes.

The role requires experience with NCFS and E-procurement, strong computer skills, and the ability to manage schedules and invoices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of warehouse and distribution experience required.
• Experience with NCFS / E-procurement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and issuing inventory.
• Assist Warehouse Manager in monitoring emergency shipments during disasters or emergencies.
• Oversee timely ordering, receipt, and delivery of inbound materials; ensure outbound data is accurate.
• Plan staff work schedules to meet deadlines and operational needs.
• Participate in inventory monitoring, replenishment, logistics, asset maintenance, and resource allocation.
• Process invoices promptly and ensure accurate documentation.
• Create and manage blanket purchase orders; place orders via E Procurement and NCFS.
• Conduct cycle counts and post inventory orders accurately.
