Job summary

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of shipping/receiving supervisor experience.
• Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing).
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible and able to adapt to variable work demands.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assign work to maximize efficiency of personnel and equipment.
• Maintain inventory and help establish inventory levels based on usage and demand.
• Receive shipments and log information into tracking system for disbursement.
• Inspect deliveries for accuracy and quality against orders; reject if needed.
• Supervise the warehouse and inventory to ensure security and upkeep.
• Assist in ordering from site vendors and advise management on needs.
• Develop and recommend improvements in current warehouse practices to lower costs.
• Provide training to warehouse employees as needed.
• Uncrate shipments and store or dispose of packaging as appropriate.
