Job summary

Ben-E.-Keith seeks a Warehouse General in Abilene, TX to assist warehouse personnel with order selecting, receiving, loading and repacking activities. The role will primarily use a forklift or electric pallet jack to perform duties while maintaining safety and organization.

Responsibilities include operating equipment safely, reporting unsafe conditions, keeping the area clean, presenting a professional image, and handling multiple priorities. Meetings may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Prior forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Coordinate multiple activities and follow through with commitments.
• Good oral and written communication skills and participate well in a team environment.
• Must be highly motivated and results oriented, with a strong attention to detail.
• Must be organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Must be 18 yrs. or older to apply.
• Ability to move products weighing up to 165 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear.
• High school graduate or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Operate all company equipment safely and in a manner consistent with company policy.
• Ensure company equipment is in safe, working condition; reports any incidents or unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor.
• Ensure work area is organized, clean, and free of trash.
• Project a friendly, professional image at all times.
• Prioritize multiple, competing priorities.
• Attend meetings as required.
