Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in Garden City, KS, is seeking a Shipper/Receiver to ensure safe loading and unloading of trucks, maintain warehouse organization, and support production with accurate SAP inventories. The role requires forklift-related certifications and English literacy.

The position involves 12-hour shifts with potential weekend/holiday work, prioritizing safety and GMP compliance in a dairy production environment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Forklift experience preferred.
Licensed tow motor operator and Electric Pallet Jack certification.
Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

Perform truck inspections on every truck as per the truck inspections policy.
Maintain organization, rotation of stock, and neatness of all coolers and warehouse.
Check each load for correct box size and labels are placed properly on the product.
Check product count for trucks being loaded or unloaded, and adjust the bill if not.
Follow all GMP’s and safety regulations.
Check bills of lading for accuracy before any product is shipped or received.
Input inventories into SAP.
Fill in the cooler or wrapping area when needed.
Follow all safety requirements and wear proper PPE.
Inform QA personnel of any quality issues and follow DFA GMPs.
