Job summary

Baltusrol Golf Club in Secaucus, NJ is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Operations Manager to lead daily logistics and distribution. You will own inbound Receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and returns, while driving accuracy, efficiency, and safety on the warehouse floor.

You will develop teams, optimize WMS usage, and implement processes that improve cycle times and inventory integrity, partnering with internal stakeholders to support growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in warehouse/logistics operations with direct supervision.
• Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Proven ability to improve warehouse operations with measurable gains.
• Experience supervising employees and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Willingness to stay hands-on on the warehouse floor as needed.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily warehouse activities: inbound receiving, storage, order prep, outbound, returns.
• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse personnel with clear expectations and accountability.
• Improve WMS functionality, inventory controls, and data reliability.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement practical solutions to improve efficiency, productivity, and service quality.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for inventory accuracy, order turnaround, and productivity.
• Implement measures to minimize damage and reduce discrepancies; strengthen handling procedures.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant warehouse environment with training and inspections.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align priorities and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Skill Set:

• 5+ years of progressive experience managing warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations, including direct supervision of employees.
• Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including system configuration, process optimization, implementation, or migration.
• Demonstrated success improving underperforming warehouse operations through measurable gains in efficiency, accuracy, productivity, or service quality.
• Proven ability to supervise warehouse employees, establish accountability, address performance concerns, and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong analytical capabilities, including proficiency with spreadsheets, operational reporting, performance metrics, and data-driven decision-making.
• Willingness to remain actively involved in warehouse floor operations while managing broader operational priorities.
• Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead teams through operational changes.
• Experience in specialized logistics, third-party warehousing, inventory-intensive environments, or union workforce management is beneficial. Forklift certification is a plus.
