Job summary

Silver King Beverage Company is seeking a capable Material Handler in Salt Lake City to oversee material flow, lead a team of handlers, and ensure a safe, organized warehouse environment.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts and pallet jacks, receiving raw materials, staging for production, and training staff on Work Instructions. High school diploma or GED with forklift certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic warehouse knowledge and routine tasks understood.
• Ready to learn advanced skills and overall process flow.
• Familiar with shipping/receiving, inventory, and material handling concepts.
• Physical ability to perform lifting and standing as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operates material handling equipment, including push carts, pallet jacks, forklifts based on the needs of the task.
• Completes inventory counts, visually inspects materials and labels for accuracy.
• Loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
• Inspects material handling equipment for safety and maintenance issues.
• Lubricates, recharges batteries, or replaces liquefied gas tanks as needed.
• Inspects trailers to verify they meet quality standards before loading/unloading.
• Unloads and accurately receives raw materials based on vendor bills and WMS parameters.
• Moves product from line end to designated warehouse storage area.
• Picks, stages, and loads materials for customer orders per pick lists and WMS parameters.
• Stores and retrieves materials from the warehouse per WMS rules.
• Hands-On Training: conducts practical sessions using Work Instructions for trainees.
• Maintains a clean warehouse and performs daily safety inspections.
